Spiritual Services

Spirituality is a way of life. One’s inner and outer life should manifest this dedication. The goal is that of becoming fully human (developing our full potential). It is an embodied path including purity of intention, balance and compassion—the involvement of mind, body and spirit.

I am a initiator in the Sufi Ruhaniat International. This Sufi order was established by Murshid Samuel Lewis, Sufi teacher and originator of the Dances of Universal Peace (DUP). It is one of the lineages of the great Sufi Master Hazrat Inayat Khan.

The International Network for the Dances of Universal Peace represents a world-wide peace movement. The Dances use sacred phrases from all of the world’s religious traditions, enabling the dancer to have an embodied sense of spirituality. These Dances are also a form of body prayer.

I am a leader of the DUP for special events, and am also available to mentor inspiring Dance leaders. If you are interested in this, email me.

Inayat Khan introduced Sufism to the Western world and initiated the Universal Worship Service. I am also a minister of Universal Worship. This ordination included a scholarly and experiential study of the world’s religious tradition and a life long dedication to universal worship.

As an ordained minister, I am available to facilitate a Universal Worship Service, honoring the world’s religions (a peace-building event). I can also conduct weddings and baby affirmations.

The Abwoon Study Circle is a world-wide study of the teachings of the Aramaic Jesus. Much of Jesus’ meaning has been lost through the Greek translations and other non-Middle Eastern translations. Jesus was a Middle Easterner. Participants receive a sense of the Aramaic Jesus when they learn and dance the Aramaic Lord’s Prayer, using Jesus’ language. My teacher, Saadi, Neil Douglas-Klotz, presents workshops in Europe, the Americas (North and South), Austrailia, New Zealand and other locations. Saadi is also the co-founder of the International Network for the Dances of Universal Peace. There are Abwoon Study Circles in various areas, and,

I am available to either facilitate (have 14 years experience) or help you get started in leading an Abwoon Study Circle (there is a pdf file at the website giving instructions for beginning this work).

I am also a member of the International Association of Sufism (IAS), and its Sufi Women’s Organization and Psychology and Sufism Forum. The IAS was founded by Dr. Nahid Angha and her husband, Dr. Ali Kianfar. It has a world-wide membership and sponsors numerous events, including an annual symposium. If you go to their website, you can learn more.

I represent the Sufi Women’s Organization in San Diego, under the direction of Dr. Angha.
