UPDATES:

Work continues on A Force Such As the World Has Never Known. The editors for this book are Dr. Sharon Mijares, Dr. Aliaa Rafea and Dr. Nahid Angha. Women from around the globe have written very informative chapters describing what they are doing to create change in their nations. We do not know the publication date for this book yet, and as soon as the publisher lets us know we will announce it.

Note: The title for the above book is based upon the words of the late British poet Matthew Arnold (1822-1888) that If ever women gather simply and purely for the benefit of [hu]mankind, it will be a force such as the world has never known. We used this quote in The Root of All Evil: An Exposition of Prejudice, Fundamentalism and Gender Imbalance (2007, Imprint Academic) and on the book's website: www.rootofevilbook.com

Institutes for Women and Global Change

June 19, 2010 Egyptian Institute was held in 6th of October City. Women broke into three groups addressing environmental problems, the role of creativity and art to awaken public awareness and gender/identity issues. The work will continue.
